Tour to the sithulpawwa

Sithulpawwa is located aat Hambanthota District in Southern province, near to the Katharagama. So by every year large number of pilgrims are especially visiting the sithulpawwa Temple. So I’m going to explain in my experience as philgrim about sithulpauwa trip.

                In the beginning we had Ready and wait for bus, after that bus was came. So we got the bus and make our way to sithulpawwa. So, we had to passed many of towns between the trip. Due to procedure Tangalle, Ambalanthota, Hambanthota, Kirinda, Katharagama.

                So in that situation so many Crowds were still coming to there, although sithulpawwa entrance way comprises as cart track Road. As a result very Sandstorm Air situation had occurred. Accordantly we faced to bad situation.

                After we came to the Surrounding area of sithulpawwa Religious place we had to accommodation in the Jungle. That’s why sithulpawwa religious place located into the “Yala” National  Park. Therefore we hadn’t to any kind of inn or something like that. Therefore our only accommodation place was land under the trees. So we were spread some carpets and used that for our accommodation. So I felt It’s Very different experience of my life, But the awful situation was, so many elephants were usually roaming which area we were stayed.

                During that period our only way, which gave food was “Dansala” So their “Dansala” Comprises different kind of foods. Some dansala’s were gave Rice and curry, and some Drink and other kind of things, like biscuits.

                Then 2^nd Day we had to start the climb the sithulpawwa Rock for worship the temple, so when we richen to the top of the Rock, which built sithulpawwa Temple. We could see the beautiful Image of surrounding area include the forests, lakes, mountains and like those things. After the worshiped that temple we were came back, which place we had stayed. At the same time we had to bath from the sithulpawwa lake, It’s another experience which I was enjoyed.

                And the night time we were walking around the our forest area, which all of our pilgrims stayed. So we could see the natural related thing, mother pig and her piglets were walking among the our area. After the 3^rd day morning we were preparing to came back. At the time we could see the small shop. It was selling the “Rotty” and chille paste and kind of drink, we called it as “Ranawara”. So we bought that kind of food and enjoy it,.further that’s the ever taste food, which we had on the our trip.

                Accordingly, we came back our home. During the time we sang songs and were doing other funny things, and else the another interrupted thing which was faced during the trip time was illness of quality water. Anyway, finally we like to say sithulpawwa is most important Religious place which pilgrims visiting year by year. And that tour is very expirienceable. So I suggest for you to enjoy that too.
